A Word from Our Pastor
It can be difficult in a world so divided to sustain meaningful relationships and strong communities. Whether individual beliefs, different understandings, or our cultural norms, these can separate and create conflict. Our Lord and Savior was questioned by those seeking to test him and divide His followers, but He gave a very simple answer. His command was to love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind; and love your neighbor as yourself (Matt 22:37-40).
Once we truly begin to walk in these two commands, the glory of God can be witnessed as we recognize there is more in common than what divides us. Hold-fast to what connects us to each other and allow God to guide you. When we love God and love others, we exhibit care and a desire to build others up instead of tearing them down.
